Preregistration terms

These terms apply to conditional preregistration for Fulhadhoo Marathon on 7 November 2027. Read them alongside our event participation rules and privacy policy. The payment timing and conditional commitment set out here apply specifically to 2027 preregistration. Your exact accepted agreement is retained with your registration.

Conditional registration

Preregistration closes at 23:59 on 31 December 2026 (UK time). Completing runner details and card setup commits you to the £90 entry payment if the organisers confirm the event. It is not a paid or confirmed race entry until payment succeeds.

Payment permission

I authorise a single £90 GBP payment on 1 January 2027 for Fulhadhoo Marathon on 7 November 2027, only if the organisers confirm the event. No entry fee is collected today. Once I complete preregistration, I cannot cancel my entry under the event terms. If I cannot attend, the agreed £90 payment will still be due if the event is confirmed. This does not affect my statutory rights. If payment fails, I may complete it at £90 through 7 January 2027. My card is saved securely by Stripe for this purpose.

Card verification may require approval in your banking app. A saved card does not guarantee a later payment will succeed. We do not create a long-term hold for the entry fee.

Runner cancellation and event decision

We will decide whether the marathon goes ahead by the end of December 2026, based on the number of preregistered participants. We will inform you of our decision by email.

Completed preregistrations cannot be cancelled by the runner under the event terms. The agreed £90 is payable if the event is confirmed, even if you cannot attend. Your statutory rights are unaffected. You can leave card setup before completing preregistration; incomplete setups are not charged. If the organisers cancel the proposed event or have not confirmed it by the agreed deadline, automatic charging remains blocked. Any registration made under earlier terms keeps the cancellation rights recorded in that agreement.

If payment needs your help

If the bank declines the January payment or requests authentication, we will provide a secure payment recovery link. Your agreed entry price and selected extras total are protected through 7 January 2027. An entry becomes confirmed only after successful payment.

Runner information and privacy

We collect your name, contact details, country, date of birth, gender, optional club, declarations and payment consent for race administration. Card details remain with Stripe; the website stores provider references, the agreed amount and payment status. Payment consent is separate from marketing consent. This form does not subscribe you to marketing.

Participation and paid-entry terms

Runners must be at least 18 on race day, fit to participate and covered by valid insurance. The event participation rules apply to race conduct, safety and paid entries. This 2027 preregistration agreement governs the initial conditional payment and selected extras; it does not change any 2026 registration. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.
